WHO WE ARE

Celtic Bakers is a London-based bakery, creating organic breads and pastries since 1996 using traditional methods and quality ingredients

History

Celtic Bakers was founded in 1996 with a passion for making quality organic breads, pastries, and baked goods using traditional baking methods. Always in North London, we started out at The Chocolate Factory in Wood Green before moving to our current bakery in Tottenham in 2020, where we continue to grow and develop our craft.

Over the years, we have stayed true to our roots, using carefully sourced ingredients, traditional techniques, and a focus on quality in every bake. Working with trusted suppliers including the famous Shipton Mill, we create products that celebrate the craft of baking while supporting organic and sustainable farming.

Why use organic?

Organic has always been at the heart of Celtic Bakers. We believe great baking starts with great ingredients, which is why we source all of our organic flours from Shipton Mill, where they share our commitment to quality, sustainability and responsible farming

Organic farming helps protect soil health, support biodiversity and encourage more sustainable ways of growing. But organic is about more than what goes into our products; it is about respecting the farmers, the land and the process behind every loaf and bake. By choosing organic ingredients, we create breads and pastries with great flavour while supporting a more sustainable future

FOOD WASTE

All food resources are precious, and we treat them as such.

100% of our food waste is either recycled or donated to community projects. We are proud to be working again with Felix (in association with the IGD’s Alliance Food Sourcing), who re-purpose the surplus from food production in projects across the UK. Find out more here.

Additionally, we work in close partnership with local food banks in North London to ensure as much as possible of our “finished” surplus goes to those in our community who need it most.
